Rep Power: 51 | | | Lisa! I didn't know you were that thick!
I have certainly watched my portions (sometimes I, uh...dont'! haha) but I am certainly trying to eat healthier. I hardly drink soda anymore and have been that way for over a year.
My big thing is getting active. I'm so damn lazy sometimes...Ok, most of the times! |

Rep Power: 52 | | | The best exercise is running. I'm starting tomorrow. Gonna put Ella in the stroller and run around the block a couple of times. |

Rep Power: 51 | | | Actually, running isn't a good exercise at all. Although I used to love running. (can't now, bad ankle) it's hard on your ankles and your knees.Walking is better, biking even better, and then there is swimming.
I have great advicefor someone whois bitching, eh? |

Rep Power: 52 | | | But you have to walk for at least 45mins to start any kind of a cardio workout. When if you run right you can get the same effect in 10 mins. With two kids I have to save as much time as I can. I used to be an aerobics instructor so I feel really bad being as big as I am. |

Rep Power: 50 | | | I've gained some weight off and on since I moved. Its really hard to keep it off. I finally started going to the gym again. I bought an ipod shuffle, and I found that my work outs last longer when I'm listening to music.

Rep Power: 32 | | | I tried running recently and had to stop excercising for a while altogether. My knees are so bad from playing softball all my life that they swole up twice their size when I started running. Walking is great for you, any doctor will tell you and when you have an Ipod, it really passes the time. My kids love to go with me and ride their bikes.
As far as the eating, you just have to cut back.
Lisa you look great, but if I lost the weight I wanted, I still wouldn't look that great. My body frame is made to be thicker, but I'd be one of those big and beautiful women! I just gotta get this 20 pounds off.

Don't believe any of that don't eat white things, eat only protein, eat all fruits and veggies, or only soup, or whatever else crazy thing you hear people say. You've got to learn a new way of eating; a way of eating that you can stick to for the rest of your life.

lisa is right....ive been on weight watchers for over a year and ive lost roughly 120pounds and i still have more i want to lose.....but it has nothing to do with denying yourself....it is ALL portion control.....and excerise.....i dont deny myself anything except how much i eat...if i want it i eat it but just eat smaller amounts.....and she is right about its a change of mind frame.....you have to make your body understand that less portions doesnt mean you are depriving yourself.....and its a slow process....weight loss is not an easy fix...but im sure everyone already knows that if they have battled with weight....it sucks no doubt.... :--) |
