HELP!

I'm sending flowers to my friend who is a new mom.. She was in labor for over 24 hours!!! I wanna put something cute on the card but the only thing I can think of is:

It's not what you do but how you do it..

And everyone is telling me that's tacky.. Any ideas?

p.s. I want her to feel like the flowers are for her not her and baby..

Something with "It was worth the wait" to refer to the long labor? I can't think of a good line but that's the best I can think of. Congrats to your TIRED friend!

All jokes aside, though...she will appreciate your thoughts and flowers no matter what you come up with to put on the card. New mommy's do tend to feel a little left out though, so it's a good idea to send HER the flowers, but the baby something its own.

I don't know what you think of this one, but I like it because you mentioned she had a long labor:

POOR freaking girl. OMG. I want to send her flowers! My first was 23 hrs and 47 min (haha) but I wad drugged to hell by the 5th hour, so I don't remember much of it.

The poor thing it took her 18 hours to get to 3 and that is when they gave her the epidural only to turn it off right before she had Nataleigh because she wasn't pushing where they wanted her too!!!!

Have you tried Google? I actually did for a sympathy card. I felt kind of bad but I did find some ideas different that what everyone else had already written. BTW, it wasn't someone close to me.

OMFG! How big was the baby? Usually big babies take longer. My cousin had her daughter when I was in 3rd grade and I remember the screaming from the waiting room (it stopped my sister from having babies, but obviously had no effect on me, haha) Ashley was 9 lbs 11 oz!

7 lbs 10 oz. but the ultrasound on Monday said she was gonna be 8 lbs 11 oz!!
