What do you all think about us all getting together in a month or so for a canoe/tubing trip down one of our local rivers?Do you think we could spare a saturday or sunday to do this? Get back at me...

Black Creek in Brooklyn, Mississippi is an awesome place for that. You can rent kayaks/canoes for as long as you want. The creek has different drop-off and pick-up points, and you can even camp out on a bank overnight. I went for my birthday this year, and if I remember correctly the canoes and kayaks are around 35 dollars to rent for a 5-mile trip.

Girls: if not kayaking, bring a brawny male to sit on the back of the canoe and do all the work.

i think it's more fun to kayak, unless you have that brawny male, of course. rowing in a canoe blows.

you should try it. i mean, it's the same thing as canoeing, but you're by yourself, in your own little world.

the only shitty part is that you can't just quit rowing when your arms get tired. but hey, that's what the current is for, right?
