How do you deal with change?

Just wondering what is happening in everyones lives. I have had some changes happening.. new job, lifestyle changes...all of which have led me to be a lot happier with my surroundings. How is everyone else doing, seems like there's always something changing, so is everyone else dealing with some sort of change in their lives, and how are you dealing with it?

I don't like surprises. I like an even lifestyle, no peaks or valleys. Sounds boring, and sometimes it is, but I work hard to avoid the "valley" part. Sometimes changes come about without provocation, and I've learned to deal with them as they come along. Right now I'm satisfied with life, there could be a little more money, and a little less stress, but I've got my health and family, the weather's perfect, the music's good, life is good.

I generally curl up in a ball and cry.

But as of late...My life the past two years has been nothing but change and there is more on the horizon. I have been systematically cutting out everything that makes me unhappy and steadily steering towards what it is that I want. I have had trouble adjusting with a few things, however but I’m realizing that what was going on in my life before had was unhealthy. I vowed to do what I want and not allow others to rule me. I’ve put on my big girl panties and I have taken control.

I usually quit eating for a few days, socially withdraw from friends and family, drink heavily, and call my mother and whine.

Nice, Marc!

Some of my friends on here know that I'm big into music and krotty. Since I've moved to Vegas, I've been to more concerts and have trained with some gifted martial artists. I'm not really interested in starting a new band, but I'm still writing songs every once in awhile.
And as you all can tell, I'm going through a "fat Elvis" stage-some great chefs here, lol!

I'm getting married, and I'm not nervous about it.
I swore if the last one didn't work out I would never marry again.
I drug my feet for a year. She had some growing up to do.
When we set a date it made things alot better.
We are in Love.

Band shit...
I hate dealing with directionless artists, losers, and liars. They will never make anything of themselves.

That's how I have always been too! But lately, the changes just keep coming and I can't ball up anymore, lol. I think love does have a lot to do with adapting to changes better. For the few years Mark and I were apart, that adaption just didn't happen, but now, it's one day at a time and even the most extreme changes don't seem so unbearable anymore.

Having someone to support you is really good. It doesn't matter if that someone is your best friend or your lover. It is just a good thing to have a someone to encourage you and stand behind you while you are fighting your way through life.
