I'm at a loss for words....

My dad has finally went off the deep end. He went insane yesterday afternoon and grabbed a shot gun. Took my sister's pet ferret outside, put it on the ground and shot it when it walked back up to him for him to pick her up. He did all of this infront of my mom and my daughter Ella. Then he threw the ferret in the garbage can and went looking for my sister's cat to shoot it too. But mom hid the cat in the bathroom. Then she called the police. When he heard her calling the police he jumped in his car and left. He came up to my house where my son and husband were at home. Barge in on them and told them what he had done. And that he was leaving and wasn't coming back. He told my husband infront of my son that he shot my sister's f***ing rat in the head and that my mom was going to have him arrested for it. Then he jumped back in his car and left. We haven't heard from him since 7pm last night. It has been a long night. If you see him he is 5'10" tall. Salt and pepper colored hair. Blue eyes. Driving a tan 2006 Ford Explorer. We con't know the tag number, still looking for it. Please give me a call at 228-475-2018 or 228-623-1449. We are worried about him and afraid he may be a danger to himself and others.

ferrets and cats are cool together.
keeps the cats in check.

I'm sure he went ballistic about something the cat and or the ferret did.

I don't think I would have done that in front of people. They would have "disappeared".

Does he have a history of mental illness or the beginning of Alzheimer's. It is known that when Alzheimer's starts they can do some pretty crazy things. If ya need some help girl we aren't far away.

Thanks everybody. We found him around 5 this afternoon. Brought him home and the first thing he did was go looking for his guns. When he couldn't find them he grabbed a hammer and chased my sisters cat she has had for 13 years. But the cat got away. My mom is fighting me but he needs to be in the hospital until they get his meds regulated. I am glad I went up to the house at 2am and hid all the guns. No one knows where they are but me.

don't just hide them...take them somewhere girl.

You know, you're his daughter, you have just cause, you can get him admitted on the fact that you believe he could be a danger to himself or others...

I was going to take them out of the house but they are huge riffles and I couldn't get them past my mom last night. But they are all going to be out of the house tomorrow. So I'm going to take them then.

Holy shit! Why is your mom fighting you on this?!? He may start with small helpless animals and move to something bigger. That's fucking scary.
