I have a friend in college currently looking for a job. They go to school in the daytime so they would need an evening job. So far they have only found jobs in the the 6 to 7 dollar range. I haven't really looked for a job in so long I didn't even know jobs that pay that little even exist. I mean how does a person live on that amount of money?
Anyway, what jobs would you suggest for this person? Do you know of anywhere hiring? |

A waiter/waitress is about the best thing, especially on weekends, tips are better and they can put in a full day, possibly a double everyso often.
6 to 7 is about as good as gets otherwise. |

It seems for this area most college students are forced to service industry type jobs which blows major donkey dick. |

Not sure how much they actually got paid but it's definitely looking in to. My neice has her master's in criminal justice but she doesn't have enough experience so she works at one of the local food chains. Sad...

Rep Power: 17 | | | The service industry is pretty much all a college student can get in to without schedule conflicts. The problem in this area is that just about all positions are filled, and if they aren't filled, they aren't desirable. I'm thinking about the work-study thing, seriously. Minimum wage is what is paid, and I'm not sure if students get 40 hours a week or not. With bills and other bullshit, it's so tempting to just put college on hold and work a mediocre job.
