Lonestar & Special Guest Blake Shelton To Play Benefit Concert For UCP
Tickets from Ticketmaster
On March 10, The Mitchell Company presents the first ever Hog Wild Charity Concert, a new addition to the BBQ Championship and Hog Wild Festival which over the past five years has raised more than $200,000 for United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile.
"The barbecue festival has been a great event for our agency," says President and CEO Glenn Harger, "But by adding this concert, we hope to more than double our fundraising ability. We're bringing in two really great acts, who each have a great track record drawing crowds with very entertaining performances."
Lonestar first broke into the national scene in 1995 with their hit song, "Tequila Talkin." Since then, the band has produced a string of chart topping songs, and catapulted themselves country music stardom. Their hits include: "No News," "Come Cryin to Me," "Everything's Changed," "Amazed," "Smile," "I'm Already There," "What About Not," "Tell Her," "My Front Porch Looking In," and "Mr. Mom" - all of which climbed the charts all the way to Number One.
With more than 1000 live shows under their belts, Lonestar knows how to bring an audience to their feet and keep them there all night long.
On this night they'll be joined by young star Blake Shelton, whose debut song, "Austin," spent five weeks at the top of the country music charts. Shelton followed that success with "The Baby," which also climbed to Number One. He has also been on the charts with hits songs: "Some Beach," "Goodbye Time," "Nobody But Me," and "Ol Red."
Harger says, "Both Lonestar and Blake Shelton have tremendous support here on the Gulf Coast. So, we're expecting more than 7500 people to come out and have a Hog Wild Time."
