Music for the wedding thread

Ok...we're cheap asses. We're using a PA from the music store (they love Mark) and a cd player from home...haha... screw a DJ... I'd rather spend the $$ on the honeymoon...

So...

I need some songs or at least band ideas... because if this were up to me, I'd be playing KoRn, Flyleaf and Pantera...haha... but Mark wants everyone to be happy...

so if you were at a wedding, what song would you be happy hearing? LOL...

if you're downloading music just type in the "happy" song's name then the word "cover".....I downloaded a bunch of old type stuff perfect for receptions for my sisters wedding/reception like "What a Wonderful World" done by the Ramones.....I also got to play "here comes the bride" on guitar hendrix style.

There's a great song on the new Pumpkins record called That's The Way My Love Is. It really would be perfect for a rocking wedding. It's mellow, but just edgy enough for you.

Mark and I agreed Pantera was as hard as I would get... I snuck in more Pantera by making sure I put their cover of Catch Scratch Fever in (which my parents will know )

Whats really cool is if you have a CD Player that can play MP3's, most do that now. You can fit over 100 songs on one cd depending on the length of the songs but most of the time when I do events like car shows I will set up my small PA (Peavey 600b) and a few speakers and let it go, 4 hours laters still going and still has time to go; that way you can just rock and roll. Or a MP3 player with a 1/8 stereo jack to RCA or stereo 1/4 jacks that way you can use a MP3 player also which might be a little more convenient. Hope this helps.
