Thanks! They were issued new Individual Body Armor (IBAs) today. He said it easier to hold his rifle and he can actually put his hands together over his head. The plates are the same but it's not as cumbersome. I asked him if he's keeping his rifle clean and he said he needs more lubricant because the sand is like dust that just gets everywhere.

He called me today at 10:00 a.m., 6:00 p.m. over there. He said his unit was on patrol and a buddy was killed by an IED and another was injured and sent home. He didn't want to talk about it so I didn't pressure him. Thank God for Zoloft...
