I want one.. but it seems like everyone I've talked to is trying to screw me over.. What gives?!

it's a bad time of the year for the buyer.
wait until the new models start to come in, then they are forced to "get rid" of last year's models.
always ask for the demo model (it will ususally have 2-5,000 miles on it. it's new, but they can't sell it at the new-car price.

dodge is doing 60 months 0% apr. (if you're into dodge)

The one guy I talked to yesterday at Pat Peck said the 08 Versa would be coming in around September and it would probably be wise to wait until then (he seems like the only one w/ any sense that i've talked to). I was hoping I could catch a used one but since both of the cars just came out for the 07 model year I'm kinda wary of finding a used one at the same time because they had to bring it back for a reason ya know?

I've actually been lookin at 2 in particular.. the Nissan Versa and the Toyota Yaris.. but after 6 years I am not stupid enough to end up paying almost 30k for a 14k car.

Do any of you guys know how the sales tax on vehicles works when you buy out of state? I know when we got the 4 wheeler we went to Kawasaki in Mobile and didn't have to pay tax but it's not tagged either.. I'm clueless!

you have to pay mississippi taxes no matter where you buy your car. i bought my new car in louisiana last year. don't let them charge you sales tax, but if they do make sure they send you a check for what they charged, you can apply that to your tag.

I was thinkin about callin over to Ray Brandt to see if they could offer me a better deal than Allen did..

Marc, I actually have been talking to William there at Pat Peck he is one of my customers and I just got him a really good deal on car insurance and his life insurance so he's trying to work all angles possible for me right now.. I just wish I was taking my night classes at the college because he could get me a really good rate.. oh well..
