There is one thing that sets pirates apart from ninjas, and gives them a superior status. I'm not talking fighting...
Image wise, pirates have swagger, tons of it, always have, and that puts them above ninjas.
Fuck a guy that will hide and attack you from behind, the tougher guy is like "ARRGHHHH! IMA CHOP YE FUCKIN' EAR OFF!" then proceed to do it. That is the definition of a badass my friend. Pirates will chop your fuckin' fingers off to get your rings (probably with dull objects). That's badass! |

Ninjas have skill, but pirates have toughness.
I'm not going to say who would win, since there was never a war between pirates and ninjas, so we will never know. They were different time periods as far as I know, but I could be wrong, Asian history is not my forte.
My main question was and still is... what is the ninja obsession with this place? It has always been here...
Oh and I just picked a side... it was a bit off the topic, or at least away from the topic.
I still say pirates, artillery would win. Naval strategy at the time would have won the battle. I doubt guerrilla warfare would have helped ninjas because they lacked technology at the time, similar to how the Native Americans were defeated.
I have now put too much thought into this, but yeah, that is my take on it. |
