Ok, I need opinions from all of you computer experts out there. Both of my computers in my classroom have crashed within a month of each other. The first was my desktop. Our computer expert here says it's the motherboard. It won't boot up at all. The next one to go was my laptop. It will turn on and let me run one program at a time, but if I try to run the software that goes with the projection board in the classroom and do a powerpoint with the kids, it freezes up.
The question I have is that I have used a website called vtunnel here at work to be able to access sites that are blocked like Yahoo mail and Myspace. Is it possible that I picked up something on that site that crashed my computers? I need to be prepared for an ass chewing if that's what may be the cause! HELP! I have used it on both computers.

They do have all of that stuff but like I said, I was using vtunnel. It's a site the kids told me I could use to check my yahoo mail and myspace at work (which is usually blocked) and I was afraid that I picked up something through there.
As far as the desktop, the computer guy has already told me that it has to have the mother board replaced. The laptop is what I'm using now, but it's slow as shit and I can't run more than one program on it or it freezes up completely and has to be restarted.

The school has all that shit I'm asking if this website (vtunnel) may have some way of screwing all of that up (anti virus programs, firewalls) since I was going around the blocks that they had! I was hoping someone would know about stuff like that. I am clueless about stuff like that. I don't need a new computer they already gave me one and they are working on my laptop, but I'm just trying to figure out what messed it up in the first place!

Thanks. All is up and running and to be safe.....I'm staying away from anything that is blocked and ways aroung the blocks. I didn't realize how much I used this damn computer for EVERY single function that I do here until it was gone!

I completely rely on my notebook... I would die if it was taken away from me for a day. Without it, I wouldn't be able to do any work at all.

Only that the motherboard went out in the desktop and he took the notebood today to fix it! I have a spare till he gets it up and running!
