But it's not getting better, it's getting worse. It seems that mostly the bad people stayed behind which would explain the rise in crime rate. What now?

A sad situation, indeed. Rise in crime is almost inevitable where poverty and despair is abound... and I do believe many of these people lost hope long ago. I think it's wrong to assume the city needed to be flushed... when in fact the destruction affected and disrupted the lives of many, all demographics... not just in New Orleans but in surrounding communities as well. And now the ones left behind feel just that... left behind. I suppose it is easy for some people to turn their back where they never once stood themselves.

Well..... it's not just the blacks. But I know what you mean. My brother is moving back to New Orleans. I'm scared more now than I was before. I'm not racistist here either, but I just hate STUPID people, no matter there color, size, religion, or by how much money they make. I just HATE STUPID PEOPLE. And if you try to hurt someone that I love, then I will come after you. LOL. So I understand what your talking about. You just have the balls to say what everyone is thinking but were to scared to say it out loud. lol.
