Many a debate over who is better to run an office of 'our' government goes on, and I understand thats how things are done, but,
who says that your 1 vote counts. Its just 'our' governments way of saying "this IS a democracy", and your vote counts. well it doesn't. Somewhere in some overpaid boardroom, by overpaid 'elected' officials, all of 'our' countries decisions are made.
And getting back to my point, what I can't stand are the people out there that look down on you because you believe in something different. I don't know you Andrea, but from your post, it just proves to me again that there are some people who will never see the side of 'our' government that is the big picture. I keep all this to myself, because no one likes to be told they are "sad" for feeling the way they do, whether it be politics, religion or any other strong subject. You stay with your kind, and I'll stick with mine. And don't tell me I'm sad for being this way. My life is pretty grand as it is, and I don't vote, and I'm not christian. |
My bad! I did not realize that everything is run behind the scenes like in the movies! And I did not mean to imply that
you are sad, it's just sad to me that people do not realize that they have have the power to make changes. No, one vote may not change the way the government works, but as a whole people can make things happen. Look at California, the politicians dance for the people, not the other way around. Then again, the front page of the paper today announced that one candidate won by 11 votes.
For the record, I do not see how this is "kinda like religion" at all.
