Work

I get tired of having work dilemmas.

Here's the story..

I am a very loyal person. I don't hop from job to job.. And I'm with State Farm.. they have been a company forever.. I get bonus checks each month based on what I sell so they aren't guarenteed. I am about to make a year here on Oct. 9th at which time I will get a week paid vacation.. then in March we get our annual bonus which will be between 1000 and 3000 bucks.

I have an offer for a position at keesler ins. where I used to work for 3 years.. those people are like family. The only thing is.. it's a small business who write insurance for small companies.. so in my head I think that they might not be there that long. but its making 2.25 more an hour.. and I get along with them all great. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. Advice?

Go for the money. In the business world, there are no friends. State Farm will survive. If you need the income, you should do whats' best for you. SF will understand.

If you look at the yearly amount vs. the dollar amount it seems to me as if it is almost equale. When we were talking about yet yesterday I didn't know about the yearly bonus. You add the yearly bonus and the monthly bonus/commission it comes out to nearly the same. I suppose it depends on what it is you want, do you want to have more at the end of the week, but no extras? Or more overall at the end of the year?

It doesn't really though.. Let me see if I can make it work.

Now = 21120 a year.

New = 27560 a year.

Even with an average monthly bonus of 100 and the 3000 (if its that much) bonus I would still be making 2240 a year more at the new place.. UGH!

I'd go with State Farm.
If you could ever have your own agency you would knock down some big bucks then.
What are the chances?
