Air Force Three: Hypocrites fly free

Here's an article from that conservative bastion the San Francisco Chronicle about Nancy Pelosi's demand for a bigger plane. She requested a bigger plane (big enough to hold 40 plus passengers). It hit the press. She first said "security". When it was pointed out that the former speaker's plane was "secure" she then cried about gas mileage. And now that the "gas mileage" explanation has been shot to hell (Hastert's plane gets like 6000 miles before needing to refuel.) she,like all of the liberal patron saints of tolerance, has resorted to having her flunkies (Murtha) threaten the Dept of Defense. From the article:

"Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., the Pelosi ally who chairs the House military appropriations subcommittee, said he has spoken to Pentagon officials about the need to provide Pelosi with a bigger plane that can fly passengers coast to coast in comfort.

But he denied pressuring the Pentagon. "I don't need to pressure them. I just tell them what they need to do,'' Murtha said. "

He doesn't "pressure" them (pressure is such an ugly word), he just "tells them what they need to do". COULD that possibly mean, "give her the plane or we will cut funding"?

Oh but of course no one in the drive-by media is interested in that? Newt Gingrich complains about having to use the rear entrance of Air Force One during the Clinton years and NEWSWEEK runs a cover of Gingrich entitled "Crybaby". Pelosi and her hacks are EXTORTING the Department of Defense and THAT is a non-story???

It certainly appears that way Junkernaut but wouldn't it be nice if the so-called "objective" media covered scandals regardless of whether the perpetrator was a republican or democrat.

Again I point out that Republican Newt Gingrich complained about using the rear entrance to Air Force One and was branded a "crybaby" by the COVER of Newsweek. Where is the equivalent for Pelosi (democrat)? I can suggest a few captions:

"It's nice to be queen"

or how about

"Conservation for you, gluttony for me"

or how about

"Pay $300,000 per TRIP for me and, by the way, let's gut those evil corporations"

That Pelosi is a hypocrite isn't suprising.

That the drive-by whores (aka the mainstream media) will cover for her isn't suprising.

That ANY RATIONAL person would believe this same drive-by media IS stunning!!!

Do I really need to list the number of promises Pelosi has already broken? I want everyone to take a good look at congress right now. This is what happens when you elect of a bunch of windbags who do not run on a position and just bad mouth the other side. The ONLY thing this democratic congress has done so for is pass a non-binding resolution. Hell, I pass non-bidning resolutions at work all the time. I tell someone to do something and they ignore me.

Hey Ken, they couldn't even pass the NON-BINDING resolution!!! It passed in the House but was doomed in the Senate when Harry Reid etc refused to allow the Repubs to vote on a resolution supporting the troops.

But for all of you Bushhatas, "Iraq is the wrong war at the wrong time" types where are you? I thought you move-on types elected the Democrats to end the war, at least that is what the drive-by media has told us. And the people you elected to end the war can't even muster the guts to vote for a non-binding resolution. You know you may hate Bush, but at least on this issue he has been consistent as opposed to the gutless linguini-spined democrats you guys voted for!!!
