Alabama to apologize for slavery?

Heal? What the hell did the Alabamie gov. do to him? There is not a living black person in today that remembers the Civil War. That's pathetic.

That makes no sense. No one alive today has ever been a slave, or ever owned a slave. And the state didnt own any even back in 1865.

This is a political show to get the black vote.

The biggest owner of slaves back in 1865 was the Virginia tobacco companies.

It doesn't make a lot of sense to me, and I bet the majority of black folks don't give a damn either.

I really think slavery was a blessing in disguise for them. I can understand the ones that were separated from their families endured hard times, but the end result is their descendents are in a much better place. Just ask any of em if they want to go back.

As a person who is 1/4 Greek, I would like to apologize for the Greek invention of democracy, which has mutated to such a ridiculous state that people and governments feel they need to apologize for institutions that were abolished over 140 years ago. We really startd a slippery slope with that crap 2,500 years ago!

If only the Persian Empire had won, all this could have been avoided... fukkin' Spartans!

They were gay, you know (not that there's anything wrong with that...).

I think every state in which slavery was legal should apologize. I also think Jesse Jackson should apologize to the Duke Lacross team...I wouldn't bet on either.
