America needs a leader like this - Page 2

That's what i don't get about America.
We bend over backwards for EVERYONE except our founding fathers.

One Nation Under God.

You may or may not believe in God or Jesus or what have you....
but that's what we were founded on.

How about a little sensitivity for the FOUNDING pronciples our nation was built on?

Somehow we have come to think that diversity means catering to the minority. In reality our nation is founded on the concept that the majority rules, but that you can do as you wish IF that doesn't infringe on anybody else's rights.

It doesn't mean that 90% can't have a morning prayer in school because 10% don't believe in God. That's ridiculous and ass-backwards. Now it SHOULD mean that the 10% don't have to pray along, but they shouldn't have the right to shut down the will of the majority.

Maybe one day the US will have the balls to reassert the idea that it's okay for our dominant culture to call the shots on our customs, as lomng as we don't force anyone to participate, but LET those who want to participate.

Will, I'd like to hear your opinions on non-political topics. I have to say that I agree with what you say nowadays more than I used to, but I think you should get involved in some of the more regular conversations here for contrast.

I'd be interested in seeing what lurks behind your unorthodox and highly logical mind besides a brittle political policy.

i may not believe in praying in school (just for example).
but to shut it down?

there's a reason why this nation is suffering.

Diversity is what brought the Aussies to this point, over the past couple of years I've read articles about their gov't having the gates wide open, allowing africans, muslims, etc in - then you have a bunch of people leeching off the system, and the usual problems that all western nations are experiencing.

Workfare is the answer. You need help, you get it - but you have to perform some kind of work for it. Along with that you enter a program to find something better than what the workfare job is.

That way everybody contributes something productive and you are motivated to get off the dole and into something better.

The only losers will be TV shows like Maury and Springer, and that's not a bad thing!
