BushKennedy selling us out

http://www.house.gov/writerep/

The link above is to help those who are concerned to e-mail their representatives.

Bush and Teddy Kennedy have come up with a "comprehensive immigration reform bill". This, OF COURSE, is a thinly disguised AMNESTY bill that instead of beefing up security at the border actually cuts it. For example last year they passed a bill to build 700 miles of fence on the border. This bill cuts that figure to 300 miles. Leave it to the enemies of math to try to protect a border that is 1800 miles long with a fence 1/6th that length.

I know many of you disagree with me on many issues (Iraq for example). But in the debates we've had on immigration I've seen many of you who are far more liberal than I but still have enough sense to KNOW that something is wrong when we reward lawbreakers and move them to the front of the line ahead of those who actually respect our law. This really isn't a repub vs democrat issue. In fact allow me to go on the record right now and say not only will I not vote for any republican who votes for this bill. But I will seek out their opponent (even if Democrat) and actively work to see that repuke defeated. In fact, in the presidential race, if the republicans nominate someone who voted for this bill (John McCain) or comes out and supports this bill I will VOTE FOR HILLARY!

If you fell strongly about this you may as well forget the Senate. Those crusty old bastards have already caved. If this is to be stopped it will be in the House. So click on the link, follow the directions and let your representative know what you think BEFORE it is too late.

Things are messed up. All my coworkers disagree with this BS, yet it gets passed. Unless everyone I know, and myself are a minority now, the people are not being represented. Bring on the overpopulation and poverty, what a bright future for the kids.

This is an easy one, who benefits from open borders? Big business: cheap labor, and more consumers.

I need to make some time to write the congressman. They'll probably put me on a FBI list of some kind after I'm done.

Thanks Wil. I should've mentioned the two border patrol agents when I sent the message I did to my representative. Oh, well.

Hey there is also a good site called grassfire.org that is organizing resistance to this bill. Apparently I misspoke in my earlier post when I said the Senate had already caved. It is still in play. Grassfire has citizens faxing and calling their senators and then reporting on what response they get so that Grassfire and anyone else who cares to access their site can identify senators who might be "persuaded" to kill this bill. Most of the Senators (politicians that they are) have NOT announced which way they will vote although I give kudos to my house member Bart Gordon who e-mailed me back and promised he wouldn't vote for any amnesty bill.

Folks this shit only take a couple of minutes. Use the link I provided above and e-mail your representatives and senators. Those of you in south mississippi are only recently (post Katrina) becoming acquainted with the illegal immigration problem. If you do nothing, our "leaders" WILL sell us out and it WILL get much worse.

update on the Senate from grassfire.org

The Washington Times is reporting that 17 Senators now oppose,
22 have "serious concerns," and another 30 are still reviewing.
We can win this! Thanks for taking action!

So, the Senate is in play. One of the key votes who has NOT committed is Trent (male cheerleader) Lott. Perhaps some of you in Mississippi may have heard the name??? Well here is his phone number should you wish to voice your opinion (as opposed to just whining afterward about the result)!!!

Lott (MS): 202-224-6253

Also here is a link to see what your senators are doing

http://www.firesociety.com/forum/topic/40

Apparently, according to the link, Trent Lott is trying the old "I'm not answering my phone so it doesn't exist" ploy. I didn't see what your other senator (Thad Cochran I believe) is doing so you guys may want to check on that. Also be wary of politcospeak. My Senators for example are Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander. Alexander SAYS he's against amnesty but waffles on actually securing the border or actually letting illegals become citizens (we average people call that amnesty) so I'm gonna have to watch and see how he actually votes.

Also I did look up at least one of southern mississippi's house members and the contact info is below.

Well there you go folks. In the time it has taken you to READ this post you could express your opinion. You have the information so consequently you have NO EXCUSES for not doing so.

I'm totally with you on this. Thanks for posting the contact info. I have already emailed my representative for my area in Nevada. You can probably figure out why I'm not wasting my time emailing our Senator, lol!

And you'd think that as much as Mr Reid dislikes Bush and claims to want the minimum wage raised that he might be against this bill which Bush is out front on pushing and which DECREASES wages!

seems to me our Government has alot in common with the WWF and hulk hogan. After the show is over they go have dinner and high five each other on the great "show" they put on. we are getting robbed blind by these people. money and freedoms. "a man who would sacrifice his freedoms for security deserves neither" - ben franklin
