Croc Hunter's son Bitten by Snake

First off, I have nothing personal against the Croc hunter. He seemed like a nice enough guy even if he did stupid things with respect to animals. I think South Park summed it up best when they had Cartman pretending he was the Croc Hunter. In an Australian accent he'd say something like, "this wild grizzly bear is very dangerous so I'm going to stick my thumb up his ass".

But now apparently the Croc Hunter's wife is teaching her kids to be that stupid.

Is this really the kind of conduct we want to model for our children? And when some dumbass imitates him and is killed by the animal is the estate of the Croc Hunter going to pay for THAT!!!

I think it's there god given right to act that "stupid" personally.

What they are actually doing, is raising money to keep their Zoo going and bring a level of education about certain animals to those who normally would not.

I can't say I agree or dissagree with their "style".
But it has been affective.

I guess one could say my Dad was wrong for having me work with his contruction crews as a kid.....

exposure to cussing and threat of getting hurt by a power tool.

As far as dumbasses immitating what they do....

Well of course she has the right to act "stupid" just as I have the right to criticize her stupidity.

I can understand the "animal awareness" argument but that argument is seriously undercut by their modeling of EXTREMELY STUPID behavior with respect to those animals.

Going back to the South Park I mentioned, Cartman could say, "I'm increasing awareness of the plight of grizzly bears by sticking my thumb up their asses".

And perhaps he'd be right in that a LOT of people would watch hoping to see the grizzly tear him from limb to limb.

So on one hand you have more people aware of the grizzly's plight. On the other you have more idiots trying to stick their thumbs up a grizzly's ass so it seems to be a wash to me.

Give me Marlin Perkins any day of the week.

I watched the Croc Hunter for one reason, to see that stupid mother fucker get bitten and or maimed by wild creatures. To know so much about them, he knew so little. If these dumb-asses love creatures so much, why are they constantly scaring them. Animals only bite when they feel threatened, it is a defensive tactic. So why fuck with all of these creatures who do not want to be fucked with? They give Aussies a bad name, I've known some Aussies, and for the most part they kick ass! (And hate the Croc Hunter!)

I was bitten by my own snake but he was hungry. I dropped the mouse in his cage and he bit my hand instead. Shit happens with animals. People should expect them to react that way. I was bitten by a bat that was injured but I was stupid because I was trying to give it water. Live and learn.
