the article says that schools in Oregon are adopting Mexican curriculum and books to teach spanish kids. From the article:

Until now, Oregon school districts generally have relied on bilingual aides or used Spanish material different from the English material others are studying.

"That's not enough," said Patrick Burk, chief policy officer with the superintendent's office of the Oregon Department of Education. He said the idea is minimal disruption for immigrant Latinos.

"The availability of resources is astounding," said Burk, who flew to Mexico with Oregon curriculum officials in August to discuss making equivalency standards official. "We're able to serve the students so much better if we're working together."


No Mr Burk, the idea should be providing the best possible education for those who are here LEGALLY and PAYING for your fucking job as well as the school.

I also find amazing, Mr Burks admission that "The availability of resources is astounding," Oh really, I thought it was liberals like yourself who are ALWAYS telling us that we don't spend enough money on education. We don't have enough money to educate our kids but you seem to have plenty to educate illegals.

Couple this with Hillary's plan to cover the roughly 45 million people who don't have health insurance in this country. You guys DO REALIZE don't you that that number includes the roughly 15 to 20 million people who are here illegally???

So, if the Democrats have their way, the border will remain open. We will have to pay for college for illegal kids all the while my kid gets nothing except student loans because we are "too rich". We will have to pay for the health care of illegals. We will have to pay the costs of crime associated with illegals. And when the suitcase nuke or chemical weapon (which is coming) kills three hundred thousand or so people in a major US city it will somehow be OUR fault because we didn't "understand the plight of the illegals etc".

Oh and ps, given the US school systems DISMAL scores in math and science, how is integrating that system with a THIRD-WORLD country going to help????

California schools have had bilingual school systems for a long time already - nearly 20 years I think, possibly more...

Heck, may be a couple more by now. Of course that's DMV, I guess for teaching people how to drive in a megalopolis of 16-20 million people, you do want to make sure they get the message.

If providing the driver manual in, by my count, at least seven different languages is such a good idea perhaps you could tell me of a city outside the US who does this also.

You see those other places have the funny idea (known as racism to liberals in this country) that if you want to live there YOU should learn THEIR language. They also have the funny idea that their borders should be secure.
