Rep Power: 44 ![]() | Dirt People ban the Incandescent Light Bulb. http://worldnetdaily.com/news/articl...TICLE_ID=59298 So now the dirt people have passed a law phasing out ALL incandescent light bulbs by 2014. THIS IS SO TYPICAL OF THE DIRT PEOPLE!!! Get all worked up and pass a "solution" without even bothering to THINK IT THROUGH!!! OK dirt people what the hell am I supposed to do when my fluorescent light burns out or breaks? You ARE aware, aren't you, that fluorescents contain MERCURY (a highly TOXIC substance)??? http://worldnetdaily.com/news/articl...TICLE_ID=55213 from the article: "Brandy Bridges heard the claims of government officials, environmentalists and retailers like Wal-Mart all pushing the idea of replacing incandescent light bulbs with energy-saving and money-saving compact fluorescent lamps. So, last month, the Prospect, Maine, resident went out and bought two dozen CFLs and began installing them in her home. One broke. A month later, her daughter's bedroom remains sealed off with plastic like the site of a hazardous materials accident, while Bridges works on a way to pay off a $2,000 estimate by a company specializing in environmentally sound cleanups of the mercury inside the bulb." ARE YOU DIRT PEOPLE GOING TO PAY THAT $2,000 SO I CAN DISPOSE OF YOUR MANDATED LIGHT BULB? NO, YOU ARE NOT! INSTEAD YOU ARE GOING TO BLAME ME FOR 'POLLUTING" WHEN IT WAS YOUR DUMB-ASS IDEA TO BEGIN WITH!!!!! |

Rep Power: 39 ![]() | I've had these lights for years. I knew they had mercury and always kept that in mind when having the fun of busting them. I really cant see calling a environmental expert out because I broke a bulb. I'm going to have to look into this a little more. |

Rep Power: 44 ![]() | Well that's the thing Pitboss. Normal people are NOT going to pay $2,000 to dispose of a light bulb when they can just throw it in their trash. From there it (and the millions others are throwing away) will go to the local landfill creating a Superfund hazardous waste site. Then the VERY SAME dirt people who MANDATED these bulbs will be up in arms BLAMING the millions of "polluters" that they THEMSELVES created!!!! If you don't believe me look at BATTERIES! You are not supposed to throw batteries into the trash. And yet I don't personally know ANYONE who doesn't!!!! |
