truth be told will.....if the church could get away with it, they would force women to wear burqas.....and allah just means the god in arabic...no specific name....but i do get your point....this is absolutly ridiculous

Here's a thing. I almost always stick up for moderate Muslims, and this is in no way a swipe at them.
But what the Bishop doesn't really know much about "Allah". In prophet Mohammed's day, "Allah" was the oldest Arabian pagan diety. When Muhammed heard the voice of Gabriel and started his religion, he believed that the pagan god "Allah" was not actually a pagan god, but the one true god that had been misunderstood by pagan worshippers. He believed that Allah was actually the same god of the Jews and the Christians.
The point? None really. I agree that you can call our creator whatever you think will please him. But why change it just to appease someone else?

Well here's the really stupid part.

If it were all the muslims wanted (ie they'd stop blowing people up and shit) I'd say, "sure call him what you want." I don't really think God or whomever cares.

But this is not all they want. This is not a drop in the fucking bucket and will do absolutely NOTHING other than embolden the terrorists. IT IS A SHOW OF WEAKNESS!!! IT IS THE LAMB ASKING THE WOLF NOT TO EAT HIM!!!!

The New York Times decided to "clean up" an email message from the terrorist who drove a jeep into a Glasgow airport terminal in June.

THIS IS FAR WORSE THAN THE PRIEST!

1. The priest has no duty to report the news. Given the fact that it was written, HOW exactly could the NYT have gotten it wrong? They got it wrong on PURPOSE in an attempt to further their PC agenda (Islam is a religion of peace).

2. The priest could at least argue that he didn't LIE HIS ASS OFF. The New York Times can make no such argument. Which brings us back to the drive-by media I'm always complaining about. You guys complain about Fox News but can't even cite ONE EXAMPLE of their "misconduct". I cite examples of drive-by misconduct on an almost DAILY basis. Now tell me who is more biased? ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, New York Times etc or Fox.

Doesn't matter anyway. The "Christian" radicals still believe that Zues is Jesus, and that he was born on Dec. 25th. Along with Horus and a multitude of other "saviors" born on the same date to a virgin.

The fact that some religions are confused about WHAT to call their deity doesn't matter.

The fact that some wish to appease a bunch of MURDEROUS SAVAGES does matter.

And the fact that a NEWSPAPER in an OBVIOUS ATTEMPT to MANIPULATE THE NEWS is DELIBERATELY MISREPORTING the news CERTAINLY DOES matter!

You mean they aren't now. Now they're called Christians, pray to Jesus, and have been pretty nice as long as people agree with them.
