Jesus was a martyr. I think martyrdom was originally intended for Muslims to be the same way. It's a shame the religion has become hijacked by people who are using World War II tactics like Kamikaze and Fascism to try to achieve their political agenda.

lets try something a little simpler

SLAVERY - the idea that one human can own another and extract labor from his "property" without paying for it.

Is slavery wrong? Or is it just some cultural norm in the Sudan?

Or how about 30 year old men having anal sex with two year old boys? Is THAT wrong or again subject to cultural whims?

Or how about mad dictators who decide to EXTERMINATE all jews? Was Hitler wrong or just misunderstood by non-pc types like myself?

I THINK that we both agree there is a GRAY area. Some things that might be "wrong" in one culture are "correct" in another. However, I fervently believe there are some things that are BLACK AND WHITE. There are some things that are WRONG irrespective of culture.

slavery has been an institution ever since humans have been around. i think its wrong, u think its wrong....i beleive that 90% of this modern world think its wrong. back in ancient times, it was normal, thats one of those cultural things. although the 2 year old boys may be an extreme case, and i think its disgusting, as do most rational people, the spartans actually had sex with their young men and each other to strengthen their personal bonds with each other....of course most of the modern people think its wrong. hitler was an evil man...but he was also a puppet who was easily manipulated, as well as a syphillis patient and a drug addict...im sure that fucked with his mind quite a bit...not an excuse by any means, but certainly explains quite a bit.

now my explanations have been to support my point on judging cultures from the past on our current morals...but i think it illustrates that theres(?) no black or white....there is no absolute truth to anything...only the sith speak in absolutes...lol

Well we'll have to disagree on this one. Sure the 30 year-old spartan buttfucking the 7 year-old may have thought it was ordinary and not especially wrong. In his culture he may have been correct, but I think he was wrong and his culture worse off for having accepted that.

actually will, were not in a disagreement here. everything that youve mentioned is wrong in my opinion....however i do tend to look at things from as many sides as possible. in the end its not for me to judge

Well if I ever come upon some thirty year-old man having anal sex with a seven year-old boy, you can bet your ass that I'm going do some judging because I'd beat the shit out him AND call the cops EVEN if he told me he was a spartan and this was just part of his culture.
