For those who don't want to watch the video, Shrillary said:

"The other day the oil companies reported the highest profits in the history of the world. I want to take those profits and I want to put them into a strategic energy fund that will begin to fund alternative, smart energy, alternative and technology that will begin to actually move us toward the direction of independence. I have to tell you, I am not running for president to put Band-Aids on our problems."

No, hon, you're not goingto put band aids on the problems. Instead you are going to cut off our head to cure a hangnail.

Folks, anyone who thinks you can "cure" our energy problems by taking the profit out those who provide our energy is TOO DAMN STUPID to be President.
Shrillary, if you do take the profit out of oil exploration just WHO do you think is going to produce oil? The easter bunny or Mother Teresa???

And then how are oil hogs like yourself, Al Gore and the rest of the political class going to get around? You folks DO realize that Shrillary uses more fossil fuels in ONE WEEK than most of us do our WHOLE LIVES.

Just how much oil stock do ya own? We don't need more oil. We need cheaper hybrids combined with flex-fuel vehicles.

She's saying what the party faithful want to hear, and everybody promises the moon. Regardless of people's strong feelings about her, the chances are very good that she will be the next President. I'm not saying that that will be good, or bad; that remains to be seen. But it is what it is, her Presidency to win or lose at this point.

Everyone ridiculed that upstart governor of Arkansas too, and he did it with no national exxperience in office. Hilary is very well-known and has been a US Senator for 6 years now, probably as well-qualified for the job as Bill was if not more since she has experience he lacked in 1992.

Just remember, this is America. If the party you oppose wins life goes on and the losers aren't purged!

A couple of points:

1. Dubya Gump (as some of you refer to him) AND Bill Clinton were smart enough to realize that if you take the profit out of an activity in a capitalist society NO ONE will want to do it. I'm for alternative energy sources also but you can't in one day switch a whole economy from oil to another fuel. UNTIL we do switch we will need oil and actually to tell the truth even AFTER we switch we will still need oil for the production of plastics rubber etc just not nearly as much as we need now.

2. Bush said we need to cut our dependence on foreign oil. Until the alternative is up and running the ONLY way to do that is to INCREASE domestic production, You don't do THAT by taking the profit out of domestic production. Furthermore, the enviros out there should think about this. Who pollutes more in the production of oil? The US, China, Cuba, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela or Mexico. The US is one of the "cleanest" producers of oil on the planet (strict EPA standards etc) so if you decrease that production you ARE GOING to get more pollution, oil spills etc. An example of this is in Florida where the enviros and Jeb Bush were successful in banning US drilling off the coast. So now Cuba is drilling 45 miles off the Florida coast. Gee, who do you think is going to pollute more? The US or a country whose technology and infrastructure are still in the 1950's?

3. I detest Bill Clinton, but Clinton had executive experience (why do you think Senators almost NEVER are elected President whereas governors are). Furthermore, whatever I think of Clinton, at least he was a self-made man not some hag riding on her husband's coattails. Were it not for Bill, NO ONE would even know who Hillary is.

4. Sadly you are probably right about Shrillary being elected president.

I mean, as much as I'd like to trust the voters, even I don't have that much faith. Quite frankly I don't see ANY canidates on the right and Shrillary will DESTROY Obama and make it look like the Repubs did it.

All that said, Shrillary (funny), as you like to call her, won't get elected because of people like you who have hatred for everything Clinton. There isn't a positive name value there and the Dems know it. After last pres. election they aren't going to send out anyone but the strongest candidate, and she isn't it.
