Kudos: Drive bys finally ask Hillary a tough question

Yes, you read the title line correctly.

Wilthrill does hate the drive-by media and takes every opportunity to blast them.

BUT when they actually do something right, I have to congratulate them. So kudos to Tim Russert for having the balls to ask Hillary a tough question.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/wn_r...ill___her.html

The article doesn't spell out how the question went so I will.

Russert: So Ms Clinton I was talking to a guest on Meet the Press last year and he said that if we had a terror suspect captured and knew a bomb was going to go off in a major US city and kill thousands and this guy was part of the plot we would have to consider torturing the terrorist to make him talk. Do you agree with that?

Clinton: No I think torture is morally wrong.

Russert: Ms Clinton that guest was your husband former President Bill Clinton.

Clinton: well he's not standing here now

Russert: So do you disagree with him?

Clinton: I'll have to talk to him when I get home.

Liberals in the audience yuck it up.

So Hillary contradicted Bill and HERSELF (see article) in that one answer.

She also castigated Bush for refusing to talk to Iran. Just two months ago she was castigating Obama as foolish and inexperienced for saying that he would talk to Iran but now Bush is foolish for not talking?????

Oh and ps for all you antiwar types. The same woman who was demanding that our troops be out of Iraq BEFORE she became President has now told us that she can't promise to withdraw them by 2013!!!!!

You know if you truly believe the war misguided, evil etc then the only TRUE vote for you is RON PAUL. That's right a REPUBLICAN is the ONLY candidate to promise to pull the troops out. IRONY's A BITCH!!!!

Well there are things I like about Ron Paul also, but his idea that we can retreat into Fortress America and ignore the rest of the world is a problem.

But isn't it ironic that the ONLY candidate who will actually promise to withdraw the troops is a REPUBLICAN that probably well over 90% of the anti-war movement has never even heard of!!!

And to those anti-war types who'd vote for Hillary, why not just vote for Bush again (I know he's not in the race but Hillary voted FOR the war and for the past week or so has sounded EXACTLY LIKE BUSH when giving reasons why she can't promise to pull the troops out by 2013) Back when she was kissing anti-war asses she said BUSH should have the troops out BEFORE she became president. Now she can't have them out within 6 years.

Could it be that she was anti-war when anti-war meant that the DEFEAT would be Bush's. But if she is the one who is to be saddled with defeat suddenly she's not anti-war????

OK Mikael if she "has more info" since Bush called her then WHY are the democrats still trying to get Bush to agree to timelines????

In other words ALL of DEMOCRAT presidential candidates say, "we can't pull out within 7 YEARS because we don't know what will happen but Bush should pull out now or tell us the EXACT DATE he would pull out.

Well DEMOCRATS if you expect Bush to set a date why can't you????

I'm telling you right now, the democrats do not want DEFEAT on their watch. THEY ARE NOT ANTI-WAR!!! THEY ARE ANTI-BUSH!!!!
