| Mikael, was John Bolton working for the New York Times? The LA Times? How about the Miami Herald? Because those are just THREE of the entities (huge-ass liberals at that) that conducted recounts and EVERY SINGLE FUCKING RECOUNT showed Bush winning Florida.
As for Clinton in 92 he, not Bush the Elder, won the popular vote. You are probably thinking of the fact that he won with only 43% (usually in a two- man race someone will get 50% plus) because Perot was in the race as a third party canidate/nutjob.
As for pure democracy one of the founders had it right when he describe pure democracy as two wolves and one sheep voting on what's for dinner. Given that over half the people get some kind of gov't assistance or don't pay taxes because they aren't in a high enough income bracket, I'd hate to have a "pure" democracy whereby they could vote themselves more benefits at the expense of the "evil rich" (aka the productive members of society)!!! |
