I'm hoping that Romney's campaign gets a hold of this info and starts using it! Out of the four major contenders left, Romney is the only one who isn't pro-amnesty.
And I have no doubts that McCain is on a war footing already. He was on the right side of the troop surge in Iraq (it's obviously working), but after the surge, then what? 100 years of war?
We need someone who will stop illegal immigration's drain on our economy, resolve the war in Iraq, and start building a green infrastucture economy. Without focus on those issues, we will slide into a depression. The rest of the world will follow, and what dwindling resources are left are going to be the "justification" for many, many wars.

The debate last night went well for Romney.
He exposed McCain for using some dirty tactics and disorting the truth.
Even the moderator got a little heated by McCain's complete distortion of Romney's words.

McCain and Romney's arguing was a little interesting. It seems that McCain has the Seniors behind him. My own mother was planning on voting for him just from what she had seen on tv, saying he's an older gentleman who has the experience. That was until I had a talk with her and introduced her to another older gentleman who is also a veteran, who is the only one who has a solution to the mess were in, and a history dating back to the 70's of being the only one to stand up for our rights. Get out of Iraq, get back to the gold standard, downside the federal government, abolish the irs, end the war on drugs, enforce the border, no amnesty, abolish birthright citizenship.

No other candidate dem or gop has a solution to Iraq and our messed up foreign policy, or the falling dollar. I doubt Ron Paul will win, so I suggest everyone look at your economic situation and start preparing.

Lol, glad to hear your grandmother is still thinking for herself. McCain is having a dinner for lobbyists to raise funds. I was really hoping he was out of money.

Well first, it appears my prediction of McCain NOT being the republican nominee was WRONG!

But it does give us a good chance to see who the REAL conservatives are. Let me explain:

I, and others who pose as conservatives, have always said it was about IDEAS not party not individuals. I have repeatedly criticized the Democrats as willing to accept ANYTHING (no matter how contrary to their stated ideas) to win.

So now we get to see how many of those "conservatives" on Talk Radio are really about IDEAS and how many just want to win at any cost. NostraWilthrill may have been wrong once but he's not out of the prediction business yet.

NostraWilthrill predicts that Sean Hannity will be one of the first to demonstrate that he is NOT about ideas and will REVERSE course and "reluctantly" support McCain.

Wilthrill IS about IDEAS and will not ever support McCain!!!!

the only chance conservatives have now is to get McCain to make some promises ON RECORD
ie - securing the border - NOT granting amnesty to those who are within the U.S.
and then hoping he follows through by holding him to his word.

Obama or Clinton would be a far worse vote for conservatism. (is that a word?)you get the point.

You are talking about securing "promises" from a man who just last year tried to pass Amnesty and called it that and this year says he never supported amnesty.

That "promise" is about as credible as Bill Clinton's marriage vows!!!!

Obama or Hillary would actually be BETTER for conservatism in the long run for three reasons:

1. We would at least have the republicans in congress to OPPOSE their initiatives. McCain liberal initiatives will be supported by democrats (who are liberals and like liberalism) and many republicans who won't want to vote against their president.

2. We could probably retake congress in two years if Obama or Hillary get in and screw things up like they will. McCain will also screw things up but Republicans will take the blame and won't be able to retake congress.

3. We might actually get a conservative candidate in 2012 if liberal John McCain goes down in defeat. If he wins we get HIM again in 2012.

never said getting the promise of McCain or any other politician was very "secure".
But at least if they get him on record....(?)

i don't know.
All I know is that it's a lose lose for Republicans.

If McCain wins Republicans get the blame for all the crap tha this country is
about to go through.

If the Dem's win....

we're basically fucked
