Obama won't release his birth certificate.

Why?

To participate in school or little league athletics WE, you know the great unwashed American citizens, have to release our birth certificates.

Why does someone seeking the most POWERFUL position in the world NOT have to release his birth certificate? You do know that ONE of the REQUIREMENTS for the job can be PROVED by that birth certificate.

For three out of the last four presidential elections we've had a DEMOCRAT candidate who won't release his medical records (Clinton) military service records (Kerry) and now birth certificate (Obama).

This is ridiculous!!! There should be a rule that BEFORE you declare your candidacy you must release your birth certificate, your medical records and if applicable your military records.

To work for the FBI (an executive agency that answers to the President) you must allow the FBI to go up your ass with a microscope. You MUST submit to a THOROUGH background check. Why should it be any different for their BOSS???

Maybe under "religion" it says "Muslim". That would fan the flames and is the only reason I can think that he wouldn't want it released. That or if it says "Father unknown".

Either way, refusing to release it is probably more damaging than just releasing it and replying to whatever questions it raises. He's gonna lose the general election for sure if he doesn't quit choking on this kind of stuff. This crap just adds up.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.... him losing, that is...

Apparently nothing damaging which again begs the question why didn't Obama just release it himself and be done with it?

You know thinking about this and Clinton's medical records and Kerry's military records makes me think that EVERY person who declares as a candidate for US President should have to go through the SAME background check any FBI field agent has to. And they should have to PUBLICIZE the results of that background check at least two weeks before the first primary.

WHY don't we already require this? We are talking about the President of the US not a local dog catcher. I, for example, once went to cop school and to get into the school I passed a more thorough background check than Obama, and probably McCain, have!!!

whoa, hillary should have already been all over this but what the hey.
i wouldn't vote for either one if they were the last two people alive.

Hillary can't exactly carry the torch for full disclosure, especially since there's apparently nothing harmful to Barack in the birth certificate. She has plenty of her own records that she doesn't disclose.

Yeah, it did take her a while to release her and Bill's taxes and don't even get me started on the billing records for the Rose Law Firm which were withheld (under a subpoena no less) for two years when they "mysteriously" showed up in Hillary's BEDROOM!!!

But seriously, if you want to run for PRESIDENT of the US shouldn't you expect that your background WILL be investigated?

Instead of playing these GAMES shouldn't it be a LAW that right up front (well before any votes are cast) that you should HAVE TO release ALL of this background info (birth certificates, tax returns, school records, military records if applicable and your resume). The FBI should conduct a FULL background check on ALL candidates and the results should be public.
