Rep Power: 44 ![]() | Paris is going BACK to jail???? Well, I've tried to ignore Ms Hilton and her travails but have finally been dragged kicking and screaming into the debate.... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070608/...e/paris_hilton In the article some lawyer says that due to overcrowding most misdemeanor prisoners only serve ten percent of their sentence so in reality Paris was being treated as any "normal" person would be. Ok lawyerboy a clue for you. Paris Hilton was NOT released due to overcrowding. A reveiw of the timeline may be instructive. Ms Hilton gets visited by a shrink who says she complained of being depressed due to poor lighting at the jail among other things. Then she is released due to a "medical condition" which BTW the LA Sherriff's office would not reveal. Well we know it wasn't an STD because they'd have to released a lot more criminals than Ms Hilton if that were the case. Now granted Ms Hilton has a right to privacy but she also has the ability to waive that right and since she was getting a get-out-of-jail free card would it have been too much to ask the LA Sherriff's dept to CONDITION her EARLY release on DISCLOSURE of the alleged "medical condition"? Especially when you KNOW this is going to cause widespread NEGATIVE publicity on the justice (or is it "just us") system of LA???? Gee, I wonder why LA sherriff's didn't do that? And I hope that judge finds the sherriff in CONTEMPT and allows Ms Hilton at least one cellmate (the sherriff) for the rest of her stay. |
