First and foremost, Michael Vick is SCUM for the way he treated those dogs. I LOVE dogs and this thread is in no way an attempt to justify his reprehensible behavior. INSTEAD this thread was started to point out the hypocrisy of PETA.

So, PETA, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals kills animals, while at the same time backing arsonists who destroy laboratories and company facilities such as Shaklee Corporation for doing research to find a cure for AIDS and breast cancer.

Plus, PETA Wants Constitutional Amendment For Fish!
Their proposed constitutional amendment declares "all mammals, birds, and fish will, henceforth, be defined as 'persons' in the eyes of the law." Yet PETA president Ingrid Newkirk has called human beings the "biggest blight on the face of the earth."

Oh, and for the record, the group spends less than one percent of its 24-million-dollar budget actually helping animals. Their $29,000 million annual budget is used rather for cheap PR stunts like these 'campaigns'...

We are still asking them to come on the show and state their case for these activities. But will they come?

PETA are nut cases, we all know this. I am curious to learn why these animals are killed.

And if they feel humans are a blight on the face of the earth then why don't they do us a favor and off themselves?

BTW a friend of mind has a shirt that on the front shows a picture of a cow, chicken and lamb and says, "there's room for all of god's creatures".

On the back it has a picture of a plate and says, "right next to my mashed potatoes"

Yeah, PETA are far worse, because they are professing kindness while practicing cruelty in killing these animals.

The sad thing is that I'd bet a very small percentage of PETA members and sympathizers even know that this is happening and would deny it if confronted. I wonder if the organization even admits this to its own people?

I saw the leader of PETA on TV the other night and she claimed that eaters of RED Meat were the biggest cause of Green House gases that is causing Global Warming. She said that if we would stop eating red meat then we would not produce as much methane gas as a result of our farts. Lets see when I eat a steak I rarely fart but give me some good ole "Red Beans and Rice" and I am ripping them for a few days....... lol

Because Razz, along with their incredible hypocrisy the liberals don't know how to use pronouns. When they say things like "we humans are a blight on Earth" they MEAN "YOU humans are a blight on earth" They do not include themselves in that "we".

And I want you to think about it.

These are the SAME guys running around with bumper stickers that say "Visualize World Peace". And yet they'd support the massacre of roughly 5 billion people because, "we humans are a blight on earth". Of course the pronoun "we" doesn't include "enlightened" self-haters like themselves.

These are the same people who don't want to do a DAMN thing about the MILLIONS of africans dying of malaria each year. We could use DDT on the mosquitoes LIKE WE DID IN THE US, but oh no DDT might thin a falcon's egg and hell 10 million africans is a cheap price to protect the environment. Of course it wouldn't be so cheap if it were ten million enviro whackos from California that paid the price but, never you mind, THEY are more important and good and caring so THEY will not pay and proclaim themselves "compassionate" for making others do so.

Well let me try it this way.

I once knew a dyed-in-the-wool, card carrying liberal. She was so much better, kinder and more compassionate than the rest of us especially conservatives. If you didn't believe it all you had to do was ask her.

So one day we are talking and she comes right out and says, "I think well over 80% of the people on planet earth should not be here." To which I replied incredulously, "so are you saying that we should kill them." She hemmed and hawed and finally admitted, "yes, it would be harsh but it would be better for the planet."

At the time I just thought she was a nut.

After all liberals are always against war because it kills people. Liberals are always the ones talking about "live and let live". Liberals are always talking about "tolerance" etc.

Fast forward to a few years ago and Ingrid Newkirk (at the time the president of PETA) said, "life is life. A boy is a rat is a cat is a dog"

Oh so now the life of my 14 year-old boy has exactly the same value (or more accurately lack thereof) as that of a RAT?????

And then you hear about Africa and malaria. LITERALLY tens of millions of Africans are dying from MALARIA for god's sake. This isn't some disease we know nothing about. In fact we KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO!!! We even did it in this country!!!

Oh but the problem is that the "cure" is to decrease the population of mosquitos. The way we did that in this country was with DDT. Well why not help the Africans out you might ask.

BECAUSE in 1972 an environmentalist wrote a book called "Silent Spring" which talked about how DDT thins out the shells of eggs of falcons. We didn't want the falcon to go extinct and so at the urging of environmentalists we banned DDT.

WEll that is fine and dandy for us because we were a developed nation and switched to substitutes.

But what about the Africans? THEY never banned DDT. They would like to use DDT, like we did, to control their mosquito/malaria problem. WE could VERY EASILY and fairly cheaply provide them with DDT.

BUT the environmentalists are standing in the way. You see it was ok for US to go through our growing period when we learned about DDT and falcon eggs AND saved literally MILLIONS of American lives by using DDT to reduce mosquito populations.

But somehow it is better that tens of millions of Africans DIE rather than using the SAME METHOD we did because when liberals say "we must save the planet" they actually mean "YOU must die/change your way of life so that WE (good liberals) can feel good about ourselves." THAT is compassion to a liberal.

You can see it in the actions of carbon hogs like Al Gore etc and you can see it in the tens of millions of dead Africans.
