I'm all for that. I'm also for temporary worker visas as well. I just don't like the idea of those who aren't paying their dues acting like we OWE them something.

Yea, there's perfectly legal ways of becoming a citizen.
This isn't the 17 or 1800's.
We gots to regulate this bitch.
Thus ending this post.
**note**
Notice my deliberate mispelling.. "GOTS". That was meant to be racist.

heres an interesting little story.

so I moved up to colorado a month after katrina. of course colorado is known for its mountains. with mountains come curvy roads and steep grades and hills etc etc etc. so when you add steep mountains, gravity, and vinnies heavy right foot you get speeding tickets for vinnie.

so i recently had to pay off one of these speeding tickets in a colorado court. one thing about colorado is that it has a HUGE hispanic population, mostly mexican. i have no problem with this since many of the mexicans ive met here are really nice, if not a little oblivious, people, and they do stuff that im not willing too. so, back to court. before it was my turn to plead my case before the judge, two young mexican males were up on driving with expired licenses. thru their translators, the judge basically said right out that she thought they here illegally, but since the federal govt has decided to do nothing about this problem, there was nothing she could do.
its basically related to this thread....i just found it interesting.

Well that is kind of funny junkernaunt because here in Nashville the sherriff just started a program where they check the immigration status of those they arrest for other crimes. In the first week they checked 97 people who said they were from outside the country and 81 of them turned out illegal. If they were arrested for a felony or serious misdemeanor they get tried for their crime here, punished depending on the crime and then deported.

Other counties are doing this.
