Republican You Tube Debate

Just wondering if anyone else checked it out? Some funny stuff, they got asked about the confederate flag, the bible, why blacks vote democrat. Guilliani really came off as a self centered egomaniac to me. I was more impressed with Paul, Huckabee, and Romney.

I agree. Guiliani did not do well in my opinion. Ron Paul looked a lot more reasonable than what some of his internet supporters do, and Mitt Romney looked the most "presidential". Huckabee really does well in these debates, but Fred Thompson seemed the most "authentic" to me. The more I learn about Guiliani, the less I like his chances.

If you ever needed proof of how biased CNN is (and if you've been paying attention you shouldn't) that debate was it.

Within TWO HOURS of the end of that debate Michelle Malkin using advanced technology known as GOOGLE found FOUR democratic plants.

General Kerr asking about gays in military = on Hillary's steering committee for god's sake (funny how he never asked Hillary whose husband initate don't ask don't tell)

Alleged log cabin Republican = Barak Obama supporter

Alleged undecided voter female named Journey = John Edwards supporter

Allege undecided older lady complaining about Chinese toys = John Edwards supporter

Furthermore, what the hell was that opening video with guitaridiot singing a song? Hell if they could have gotten Sally Fields to cry about how "you love me you really do love me" and George Clooney to make a pompous ass of himself I would have thought I was watching the Oscars!!!

CNN claims they didn't know when in fact the FLEW the GENERAL to the debate!!!!!!

As to who "won" the CNN spectacle I watched pretty much the whole thing and it looked like Romney and Thompson ran away with it. Guiliani and McCain did the worst even making Ron Paul look presidential in comparison.

I saw a report on that while flipping thru channels yesterday. Amazing to see CNN deny that they knew they were "planted" when they flew them to the debate!
The "highlight" for me was Romney saying "Mike, that's not your money! That's the taxpayer's money!".

The highlight for me was Guiliani trying to evade on the sanctuary city question by saying, "If an illegal came into New York and committed another crime, we reported him". To which Romney replied, "he's here ILLEGALLY for god's sake. THAT is a crime."

I also thought the Huckster got a good line in there when he was asked what would Jesus do and replied ,"Jesus would be smart enough not to run for President".

Also I thought Michelle Malkin was EXACTLY RIGHT when she suggested changing CNN to the Home Gardening Channel because they had so many PLANTS!!!!

And you know here's the thing, if we lived in a reasonably informed and intelligent society, CNN would be the LAUGHINGSTOCK channel. NO ONE would ever again take seriously anything they said on POLITICS. Pat Robertson has MORE CREDIBILITY on politics than they do!!! And yet, it will be ignored and CNN will be treated as if they are capable of objectivity and are a serious source of unbiased news!!!! THAT is the biggest joke of all!!!!

I've heard someone calling CNN the "Clinton News Network",lol! I guess I get the "truth" somewhere between Fox and MSNBC. It's really difficult to find truly objective news.
Back to Romney; I really like how his speech on religion showed his commitment to the separation of church and state.

I really didn't care for Romneys remarks about the confederate flag. I'm no die hard southerner, but do feel it doesn't represent hate. Some of us have relatives that died over this.

The Rebel Flag issue could be a thread in it's own right. While talking about Romney; he fired his landscapers because they hired illegal. I don't know if he did that because he didn't want that to be used against him, or because he realizes illegal immigration is an important topic to voters.

Thats about all he could do, he was caught. It was the contractors fault, but being a governor I would think he'd look into the matter if he saw Mexicans cutting his grass.
