You're mistaken. Communist countries don't need consumers. And don't think Russia, under Putin (Rasputin, anyone?) isn't communist.

I agree Putin is communist. But I don't think he is a radical communist. They put on a big front, but I don't think they are strong enough, at this point, to attack us. I don't know what the circumstances will be in 50 years, but I don't think it will happen any time soon. Just my opinion. As for China, I don't see them being a threat. Not because they aren't strong, but because I don't think they really want to go through the trouble and the losses they will suffer. I think they are happy with where they are at in the world. I could be wrong. You guys think we are weak. Maybe we are, but if any country...ANY country tries to invade the United States...it's going to get ugly for both sides. We are still The United States of America. We are still a superpower even though some of you guys like to think we are weak.

Lee, I have to agree with you. But, I also think about what I read in the Chinese communist doctrine. They believed peaceful coexistence with the west was impossible. Even though Russia let go of a few countries at the end of the cold war, they still hold an incredible amount of resources. I'd have to resign my belief that the U.S. is the only Super Power in the world.

I don't think the United States is the only superpower. I don't even know if we would win a war with China and/or Russia. But the world would not exist as we know it if that happens. I think China and Russia know that.
