Vancouver Subway: Pay Your Fare or get Tasered

And boy I thought the NYC subway system sucked.

But you read the article and it does make you wonder. For example one guy who got tasered had grabbed a hold of a pole and refused to let go.

So what is the cop supposed to do? I suspect that had the cop SHOT the guy or used a night stick to break his arm or wrestled him to the ground injuring him, then the civil liberties groups would be up in arms about that. So was the cop's only choice to ride the subway until this genius got too tired to hang onto the pole?

I'm all about preventing police brutality but in the real world some people leave the cops no choice!!!

sounds like the woman that refused to get out of her car when the police asked her to step out. She got tasered too.
