Basically the article says that an armed band of mexicans ATTACKED the National Guard on OUR SIDE of the border and we did NOTHING about it!

From the article:
"A Border Patrol agent, who requested anonymity, says that the well-armed intruders were drug traffickers who are fully aware US National Guard troops are prohibited from carrying any type of weapon and have been ordered not to confront lawbreakers coming across the border. The Guard troops are not allowed to apprehend illegal entrants, as well."

Then WHAT IN THE HELL ARE THEY DOING THERE??? Hell, the Minutemen did the same job and didn't cost the US taxpayer millions of dollars to do it.

There are some on this board who talk of impeaching Bush. THIS is why he should be impeached!!!! He either can't secure our border (in which case the 25th amendment should apply because he is obviously unable to do his job) or he won't (in which case he should be impeached for TREASON).

Oh, and ps, once again I have to ask, where in the hell is the mainstream media? I realized their headlines are concerned with some stupid horse dying (Barbaro or whatever) but wouldn't you think that an ARMED INVASION of US territory might make it in there somewhere?

I heard about this too! The majority of Americans want a secure border.... but the government does nothing. What will it take? The minutemen showing up at the capital with guns? Maybe they'd listen then.

Pitboss, perhaps it would have gotten national coverage if:

a. the armed mexicans attacked a group of homosexuals.

b. an armed group of AMERICANS attacked the Mexican army on their side of the border

or

c. the armed group of Mexicans attacked the corpse of Barbaro (that racehorse who died theother day).

Funny enough, it doesn't even attract much comment here!!! I see that over twenty people have viewed this thread and yet you are the only one who commented. Perhaps everyone here thinks I said it so well that nothing else need be said but come on people, this is YOUR FUCKING country that is under attack!!!

PS, this is actually attracting LOCAL attention up here in Nashville because those were Tennessee National Guard troops who followed orders and retreated when attacked by the armed Mexicans. People up here are royally pissed that our relatives, friends and neighbors were put into a situation by GEORGE W BUSH where they are ordered to take fire (aka risk their lives) from a bunch of ILLEGALS and DO NOTHING about it!!!

The problem is, even if the Nationaql Guard was armed and returned fire, the Mexican government would just send a letter of protest and US Attorney Johnny sutton would im prison them for doing it, and grant the Mexicans immunity and get them jobs and housing so they could testify against the NG troops.

I bet if the Minutemen and other vigilantes were shooting these people, the National Guard would be armed then - to go after OUR citizens.
