why doesn't Time magazine Just Shoot our soldiers themselves and delete the middlemen

Ok this is the original story as written by Tim Mcgirk and ran in Time magazine. Basically it alleges that marines out for revenge (their friend had been killed by an IED) went house to house murdering civillians. This is the story John Murtha referenced when calling our marines "cold-blooded murderers".
Note a few things. One they refered to a "young journalism student" as the source of their videotape when in fact it was a 43 year-old INSURGENT. They refer to a Dr Wahid and his claim that the bullet holes were obvious and yet fail to mention that Dr Wahid has an ax to grind against the US military. Specifically the US military inprisoned and allegedly beat the shit out of him. Gee could that have influenced his statements at all? The following link points out these ommissions and downright misreporting and some other ones that TIME ITSELF had to run as corrections. Of course they buried the corrections and pretend today as if they never happened and don't affect the story BUT TIME itself posted these corrections.

And finally we now find out that the insurgents were taped planning the AMBUSH that started this whole story. Now, granted, at the time, TIME didn't have this tape because the gov't had classified it. But it has been declassified and even Newsmax is running the story. Why aren't the drive-by's (like Time) covering this story?

NOW, I realize that most here are against the Iraq war. But I would think that we all appreciate our soldiers and the sacrifices they make. DON'T THEY DESERVE BETTER THAN THIS CHEAP YELLOW JOURNALISM?

After all we KNOW the insurgents are "fair" and god-fearing people. It is against Islam to lie and so they would NEVER do so. So what if Time didn't mention ANY of the biases of its sources? So what if Time's sources were in fact the ENEMY? And so what if Time were caught in NUMEROUS lies? None of that matters because Time was shit-talking our soldiers.

Now let's look at the marines. Obviously as Comrade Kerry pointed out two years ago these aren't the "best and the brightest" because they got stuck in Iraq. They are on patrol in their UNARMORED vehicles (provide no doubt by Dead eye Dick Cheney and Halliburton) when an explosive (no doubt left on the street by the careless callous marines themselves) blew up their friend. These redneck gun-totin' cowboys decided to shoot the town up and massacre civilians because they knew the press would never cover it. They knew there would be no repercussions because the military NEVER prosecutes abuses. As John Murtha so prophetically (aka before he knew jack shit) pointed out, they are obviously cold-blooded killers and even if they weren't, shit man, they are just dumb-asses who are too stupid to do anything besides defend our freedom and so we shouldn't give a shit about them.

You know folks these are YOUR soldiers we are talking about. I mean hell even the leftist blogsites (talkleft.com for example) are talking about it. Either the marines are being set up by a TREASONOUS media or they are cold blooded killers. Thanks to the internet it isn't HARD AT ALL to find info on this. Don't any of you have an opinion?
