Thank you for making my point. Catholism WAS like that BEFORE the modern age. The problem is the Islamofacists are like that TODAY!!!

I never said MOST mulsims were like that. In fact, I use the word "Islamofacists" to describe the ones who are fanatical. They are NOT the majority BUT there are tens of millions of them and they do present a problem even if we pretend they don't. (you know, generally speaking, when a man says he's going to kill you and is making preparations to do that, you should take him at his word)

I don't blame all muslims for the terrorist actions of the Islamofacists. I DO however blame all muslims for their SILENCE! EVERY TIME one of the terrorist actions are carried out we should see mainstream Muslims CONDEMNING it! And yet we don't. We should see tens of thousands of them in the street condemning it and yet the ONLY time we see tens of thousands of muslims in the street is when they are rioting over a Danish cartoon or chanting "death to america". Please prove me wrong and give me EVEN ONE EXAMPLE to the contrary.

Instead we have groups like CAIR (counsel on Islamic relations) criticizing US when 6 imans acting like terrorists are pulled from a plane. CAIR is trying to sue United Airlines when, in fact, there were probably muslims on that flight that were PROTECTED by United's actions (and BTW EVERY SINGLE PASSENGER on that plane, excluding the imans of course, supported United's actions). But CAIR would rather support the fanatics (and yes those 6 imans were fanatics) than the everyday people on that plane. And after THAT, I'm supposed to feel sorry for them????

I'm sorry but they've worn out my patience. When I see tens of thousands of muslims in the streets demonstrating against terrorism, I'll rethink my view. But I'm not holding my breath.

Well, I posted a link to some youtube clips. They are from some movie, which I haven't seen in it's entirety. But, the beliefs espoused from the lead character are the same from what I've learned from my Muslim friends. You definately need cable or DSL to watch them, but, they are great.
I do agree with you, Wilthrill, on what you are saying. Yes, I'd love to see millions of Muslims out there on the streets protesting against the terrorists. But realistically, where are the millions of Americans protesting these things? We all believe in what is right and standing against what is wrong, but do we have to take to the streets everyday to prove it?
No. They, like us, are a silent majority. We have jobs-so do they.
The ones you see on t.v. are the dead-end, have no job/future bastards.
True, we should not trust anyone we don't know-but we shouldn't let a person's religious beliefs stop us from getting to know them.

Well Mikael, 150,000 US soldiers have went beyond "protesting" and are actually risking their lives in Iraq. Furthermore, if you don't like that example there are literally thousands of americans protesting what they think is an unjust war. Ask Clone 9 about it. Americans, generally speaking, will protest at the drop of a hat.

So why is it so hard to find a couple of thousand muslims who believe murder and intolerance to be wrong and are willing to stand up and say so? You do know that we have several MILLIONS of muslims in this country alone. And yet the only ones we hear from are terrorist groups like CAIR. Are the terrorist muslims the only ones willing to speak up?

True, and I am very proud of our soldiers.
But we weren't talking about about Iraq, were we? We are talking about terrorism.
Let me be clear on something. Radical Muslims are using the religion of Islam to further their political beliefs. Not their religious beliefs. That is one thing.
That is why I made a reference to the Muslim brotherhood earlier. Look it up and you will find the roots of terrorism. Terrorism that did not exist before the 1900's-which should prove that Islam is not an evil religion.
Now should we kill or eradicate Radical Muslims?
Yes.

Well Mikael, we were talking about WHY moderate muslims WON'T protest evil and you were saying that Americans don't protest evil either and I was giving examples of Americans doing that.

You know yesterday Fox News ran a special called "Radical Islam: Terror in their own Words". I know you guys think Fox biased (ironically it you don't find bias at CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, NPR for example but that's another debate) but you really should attempt to watch that show when they rerun it.
The show showed what KIDS are being shown on Arab TV. Basically, there may be moderates in Islam but the RADICALS absolutely control the media and education in that part of the world. Here is a good site about this.

Just two examples of how rabidly crazy these people are.
1. They think the jews own Pepsi which is just an acronym for Pay Each Penny Save Israel.
2. The MAJORITY of muslims WORLDWIDE think 911 was a plot by the jews or Americans. This despite the fact that Osama Bin Laden has on several occasions on video taken credit for it.

After watching what THEY THEMSELVES are saying, any intelligent person MUST come to the conclusion that it is either the Radicals or US. In this age of the internet we CAN'T contain the radicals. We HAVE to kill them or die.

And Mikael, the scary part is that if the "moderates" continue to refuse to distinguish themselves from the radicals we will HAVE to KILL THEM ALL!!!

I did watch that special on Fox News. It's all pretty much news clips that I've seen before, but, it's a good reminder of what we're up against.
You might remember at one point they were interviewing a moderate Muslim who said many Muslims are against terrorism-they just don't get the press coverage a bomber gets because it's just not as exciting to watch.
