Pet Stock to the rescue
Hard rocking area bands Sedate, The 13th Hour, Subtle Shot, Left Broken, Cathercist, along with nationally known Stereoside, are teaming up with American Society for the Prevention of Animals to present a FREE concert on the Biloxi Town Green from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov.4.
The event, billed as Pet Stock, will create an Animal Cruelty Response and Reward Fund to help Gulfport/Biloxi area officers enforce animal cruelty laws and provide financial resources to pay veterinary bills for animals that have been abused.
The other goal of the concert is to raise "awareness about the link between animal cruelty and family violence."
"We're not going to be panhandling," said Joe Elmore, ASPCA director, strategic development. "The main thing is to get folks out for a good time and to get the message out that there is a direct link between animal cruelty and domestic abuse."
The event is being made possible through corporate sponsorships. To inquire about corporate sponsorships, contact Elmore at 224-0993.
This is an all ages show. The Biloxi Town Green is across from the Hard Rock Casino. There will be food and drinks. So bring the family out and support a good cause! Also visit the event page at
