In early 2006, STEREOSIDE’S founding members, Chris York (Drums), Ben Foster (Guitar-Vocals) and David Oliver (Bass) added Jeff Shields (Vocals). Instead of pursuing a career in Country music, Jeff rejected many major label offers to become the front man for STEREOSIDE. With Jeff’s unique and powerful vocals, a tight rhythm section, and driving guitars, STEREOSIDE was bound to be a rock powerhouse.

In March 2007, STEREOSIDE signed with fast-growing, indie label Bieler Bros. Records and without hesitation, entered the Bieler Bros. studio to record their debut album, “So Long”. “We made the record we wanted to make. We feel as though the record shines with our tribute to rock influences along with our own style, therefore, creating timeless rock songs.” Quotes STEREOSIDE.

By June 2007, STEREOSIDE finished production on their album, “So Long”, and have slated a release on September 25th. The first single from the effort, “Sinner” impacted active and alternative rock on May 1st and has been receiving overwhelming feedback from program directors across the country who have deemed the track “a huge hit”.

As the single was released, there was a great response of support for the band. STEREOSIDE was invited by rock station WJBX to play alongside Buckcherry, Sevendust, and fellow label-mates Nonpoint. They have shared stages with the likes of Southern California Rockers and label-mates, Smile Empty Soul, Socialburn, The Exies, 10 Years, Kittie, 12 Stones, Buckcherry, Hinder, Papa Roach, Revelation Theory, Black Stone Cherry, Alterbridge. As a result of their powerful stage presence, STEREOSIDE has created a frenzy of fans nationwide.

The new single “Sinner” continues to gain steam on at rock radio stations nationwide and has picked up several radio ads. In support of their debut release “So Long”, STEREOSIDE has hit the road on tour in the southern part of the US. Check out STEREOSIDE as they begin their path to become the next great band in rock history!

MIDNIGHT TO TWELVE

“Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.”

The quote is attributable to Seneca, a Roman Philosopher from the mid 1st Century AD. It holds a particular significance, however, for the members of Southern California rock band, MIDNIGHT TO TWELVE. Jon Hartman (vocals), Al Baca (bass), Steve Oliver (keyboards), Daniel Jordan (guitar) and Drew Molleur (drums) made their own luck with every step they took toward living their dreams.

From Southern California by way of Iowa (Hartman) and Oklahoma (Molleur) with a stop in Nashville for Al and Jon, the band took full shape in LA in 2000. After meeting Steve through a friend and Daniel through the classifieds, the band added Drew and the time was right to get things going. Finding the right name took a long time for the rockers – the idea for MIDNIGHT TO TWELVE came when discussing the shift Al was working in order to make time to write and rehearse with his cohorts.

Always willing to do the hard work involved in establishing themselves in a competitive market like Los Angeles, the band played all around town, slowly building their audience. “Our motto was, whether the audience was five people or 5,000, they got the same show,” says Hartman. Eventually the band was headlining Saturday nights and selling out storied clubs like the Roxy. MIDNIGHT TO TWELVE sold some 13,000 copies of their previous independently-made recording out of its tour bus. These sales figures are a testament to the band’s powerful live show – as both a solo touring act and as opener for such bands as Buckcherry, Jimmy Eat World, Evanescence, Joan Jett and Saliva.

Along the way, the band made fans and friends who were eager to spread the good word. One such fan worked at the show ONE TREE HILL. The producers of the show heard the single “Slam,” and put it on the show right away. Seeing a way to take the exposure one step further, the band made it known on the show’s message board that they would give away CD singles to anyone who signed up for their e-mail list. A barrage of ‘HILL fans obliged. “I was up all night collecting addresses, and sent out 600 singles the next day – I spent a whole paycheck on postage,” Baca shares with a laugh. MIDNIGHT TO TWELVE’s self-titled JKH Entertainment (through Koch distribution) debut blends explosive riffage with a big, melodic chorus. The album, produced by Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool, Deftones, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash) and Rich Veltrop, amply demonstrates the band’s sonic palette with fiery rockers (“How Bad,” “Burnin’,” “Contain It”), soaring, pop-savvy melodies (“Good Morning Again,” “Slam”) and everything in between (“Rhyme or Reason,” “Future”). Massy Shivy coaxed incendiary performances from the band, adding an array of sparkling sonic touches. Hartman’s versatile voice swings effortlessly from fury to tenderness, while guitarist Jordan’s brutal riffs and incisive leads and keyboardist Oliver’s symphonic countermelodies put both edge and grandeur atop the grooving foundation of bassist Baca and drummer Molleur. The resulting recordings showcase MIDNIGHT TO TWELVE’s bruising rock onslaught, supple dynamics and songwriting smarts in equal measure.

With the ‘luck’ this band has made for itself, there are no limits to what they can accomplish. MIDNIGHT TO TWELVE is a collection of men with a purpose and a collection of songs that will be anthems of a life lived with passion (and preparation).

The sonic explosion that is StereoHype has been captivating audiences since 2003, and there is certainly no end to that in sight. Based out of Bay St. Louis, MS (of hurricane Katrina fame) the band has a sound not usually heard from the Deep South. Their sound has become something truly original, staying away from the fads of the times, expanding on their already well established core following and gathering many new loyal fans with each and every show. Upbeat aggressive rock with a pop sensibility combined with the clean tones of ska and reggae on top of smooth, snazzy brass lines makes their sound truly genre defining, if they even could be grouped into a genre.

Members include Chase Thoms on lead vocals/guitar, Ronnie Gardner on bass/vocals, Stephen Thoms on drums, Nicholas Rohde on guitar/trumpet/vocals, Talmadge Allen on trumpet/vocals, and Elmer "Mondo" Belmonte on trombone/vocals. Don't let this six man group fool you; the sound is very tight knit with a two guitar attack seamlessly bound together by a perfectly complemented professional horn line and great vocal harmonies. StereoHype prides themselves in bringing a live show paralleled by none and at the same time keeping the music extremely tight without sacrificing the sound. Whether you see them live or hear them on recordings, you know this band is nothing but professional and they were put in life to play great music for YOU!

StereoHype's do-it-yourself hard work ethic and business sense has kept them very much in demand and always on the verge of breaking through into the industry. The band self-finances every pursuit, whether it's touring, recording, selling merchandise or whatever the case may be. The band is always first and foremost. Travel has never been an obstacle for the group, performing wherever they are in demand. They've made necessary sacrifices to make touring possible. Known to travel to states such as Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Ohio and Texas, playing from the smallest venue to places such as the House of Blues and Hard Rock, StereoHype has no problem making themselves available within their region and beyond, bringing music to the masses. Separated for months after Hurricane Katrina, with 4 members of the band losing everything they had, the band still persevered and proved that nothing, absolutely nothing will kill their will to make music their life. Never looking back for one second, the band has charged forward establishing contacts all over the southeast and eastern U.S. making sure their presence is felt everywhere possible. StereoHype will succeed in making their music their life.
