7/9 Egypt Central - Joshua Sun + (Thunders Tavern)
Falls From Grace started out simply as an idea; To play music that while still incorporating melody, was very aggressive! Assembled after the dismantling of three separate bands, Falls From Grace began writing songs back in 2006. Despite several line up changes the core members, Donnie Matt and Jared, pressed on diligently with the focus of finishing their debut album. After a year of writing, the band realized it was ready to start recording these ideas. Mark Black was called upon to handle production and engineering duties on the project. In the midst of the recording process the band auditioned several coast musicians to fill the empty slot at bass. After a few months of hit and miss auditions, the band finally found what it was looking for when Jared and Donny had a chance encounter with current bassist Mikey. After listening to the previously recorded tracks, Mikey agreed to come over for a jam session. Once the jam ended, it was very apparent that Mikey was the missing link…For the first time Falls From Grace was a whole!!
It’s a long story, so let’s just keep things simple....... Once upon a time there were 3 bands all from the same suburb New Orleans area. Groundfault, Interstate Pond and Offinyamental. After a few years of writing songs, playing shows and gaining a deep local fanbase, a big hurricane came and washed them away--sort of. When the water receded, there was one new band standing. The alliance between George Butler, Ed Boudreaux, Isaiah Pierce, Paul O’Brien and Mark Pecoraro is Pandemic.
