Festival was fun- definitely ran smoother than most I've been to.
We played the last spot and they ended up giving us MORE time than we were allotted- has that EVER happened before? (Not to me!)

I think so- we're about to iron out all the logistics now that the Fest is behind us.
Hopefully it'll start a little earlier than the usual shows.

"We" need a preformance dvd too. I'd be interested in why there, logisticts, production, and budget involved.

happy to try to share what we know so far:

Why there? It was offered as a free venue, and it's the best theater of it's kind in the area. Also has a recording studio on site, so will be a little easier on us to get the audio portion simultaneously.

As far as the logistics, not many are hashed out yet, but it will probably depend on a few things:

we'll either shoot the 'soundchecks' w/ one HD camera (each song multiple times from multiple angles) or film the show itself if we can obtain several cameras.

Budget is presently $0- we work with the same videographer since our first video. If he can't scrape together his usual miracles, then we'll have to shop around and the budget will go up; I'm in the process of determining what something like this will cost presently. (right now all our funds are reserved for producing our next album which is ALMOST in the can)

we're also toying with the idea of making this a COSTUME 'party'- anyone interested in that sort of thing?

I live "in costume". We would need a 24 track master and an unedited 3 cam shoot at least. Package show? Johnnybarbato.com,,,,,, AM & redneck-rock would be pretty funny.

Blues 'n' Bellydancin'- that would be different!

my fav shows have always been the 'cross-genre'-types, it's fun for the bands and good for 'crowd cross-fertilization'

I think this particular one is pretty much laid out, but would be cool to gang up sometime

update/question:

the M.O'K center wants to charge $10 a head. Doesn't that seem a little too high? It does to us.

Also found out the venue is non-smoking, and beer/beverages will be sold in the lobby during intermission.

The 'good' news; the view is unlikely to be obstructed by a bunch of people in the audience
