A DAY FOR DYLAN

On June 9th 2007, Creighton Hobbs of 8 Short of a dozen productions and the Kibby Family have arranged some bands and a family day to bring people together in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness. The name of this event is called “A Day for Dylan”.

About Dylan

Dylan is a 3 year old little boy with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia or ALL. ALL is a quickly progressing type of blood cancer in which too many immature white blood cells called lymphoblasts are found in the blood and bone marrow. Acute leukemia gets worse very quickly and people with acute leukemia often feel sick right away. It is really difficult to begin life with cancer and just as difficult for a parent to raise a child that is diagnosed with a disease. especially dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina right after the diagnoses. So, we would like to bring the Gulf Coast together to share this special day and help raise money for this child and his parents. We have one great event planned….just take a look on the following pages of what is going to happen on June 9th 2007, at the East Jackson County Civic Center 9313 Old Stage Rd. Moss Point, MS. 39562

The Event

The doors will open at 11:30 A.M. and there will be boxed lunches for you and your family. Here is just a quick run down of what is going to happen at this benefit called, “A Day for Dylan”:

11:30 A.M. Doors open to the public
12:00 P.M.

Boxed Lunches will be ready to buy and serve to the public
These boxed foods will stop selling at 8:00 P.M.
Cotton Candy, Snow Cones and other treats will be available

1:00 P.M.

Magician will perform for an hour
2:30 P.M.
Reading – Published Author – Lee Wheathersby - Kiss of the Vampire
Mrs. Wheathersby will be reading-“If You Give a Pig a Pancake”
3:00 P.M.
Reading – Published Author – Mahala Church - Cup of Comfort for Grandparents published by Adams Media – Published 2006
Miss Church will be reading– “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”

3:30 P.M. – 4:30 P.M.
Autographed Pictures taken with Old School Wrestling -
• Chief Iron Claw
• Steve Savage
• Chris Cody
• The intimidator Redneck Steve Fury

There will also be all kinds of other fun stuff to do for the family from 11:30 a.m. To 4:30 P.M. Here are just a few things that your whole family can participate in:

• Moon Jump
• Fishing for Grab Bags
• Cake Walk
• Coloring Booths

Bands will begin playing at 6:00 P.M. –Midnight:
Plays at 6:00 P.M. (1 hour and 15 minutes)
• Eleven- 80’s cover
Plays at 8:00 P.M. (1 hour and 15 minutes)
• David Lynn & Tall Drink of Water-Acoustic Set
Plays at 10:00 P.M. (2 hours +)
• No Way Out-80’s and 90’s cover songs, and Today’s biggest rock hits

And you never know what else is bound to happen for hours of fun. If you would like to be apart of this wonderful event please feel free to contact us and send us an email or call Kelli @ (228) 806-8030. Please serious inquires only.
Tickets will be sold $10 for adults and $5 for kids 10 years old to 15 years old and all kids 9 and under get in free. There will be door prizes given away all day and tickets will be sold for raffles to be drawn at the end of the event.

We would like to thank all the bands, and everyone on the gulf coast for once again showing that you are the best people in the world to call not only friends but family also. Thank you so much, and God bless yall. We look forward to seeing you there on June 9th, 2007.

Hi I just wanted to make an announcement about the "Day for Dylan benefit" that is going to be on June 9th, 2007. Well not even one week prior to the benefit the band, Eleven, and No Way Out had to cancel. But of course David Lynn, and his acoustic band "Tall Drink of Water" will be there at the benefit playing at 6:00 P.M. So if you would please email me, and let me know you are not booked. And would like to not help a little 3-year-old child fight cancer. But you will be getting some good exposure out of it also. Because there will be T.V. Show there at this event. And I will be on WKFK Channel 7 out of Pascagoula Mississippi. I really need to hear something from someone by Monday ASAP!!!! But if you would like to see the schedule of stuff that is planned for this day.
