I went to the so called National Music Awards Saturday at the Saenger in Biloxi. The most amateurish BAD thing I’ve seen. I Should have known...you nominate your band on their website then vote for yourself! Then when you show up you find out they are just local guys and then charged us to participate. They gave out $2 trophies...What a fool I am! Running an ad on a local radio station doesn’t make it National!Today their site is taken down. Hey! I’m having the National Hula-Hoop Awards next month. Who's down?
I wondered about that - I saw their pages and that some of our local artists were involved, but everything about them smelled funny to me. I was hoping it wasn't one of those pay-to-play type scams.
was there a show at least, or did they just give awards?
