it looks pretty cool. it had a desent stage and house PA.
a guy i worked with said it was a little bit expensive to eat there.
$15-$20 a plate
Jeremy is the ?manager?, seemed like a cool cat.

Shawn from the Julep Room also works there, as a bartender.
We had a great time here. House PA was great, with mic and monitor access points built into the floor. Nice Allan & Heath mixer right on stage. We only needed our rigs, mics, cables, and stands. Seems to be a bit pricey, but worth it. Good HVAC = not smoky inside. Food was excellent. I had a cheeseburger (obviously fresh, not frozen patty), and a couple of Lofton's stuffed shrimp. They are still running on a limited menu, but all the necessities are there. They said to expect the full 6 page menu in about 3 weeks.
Oh, and they were making these concoctions in a great big glass, and I think if you could finish it non-stop, you got to keep the glass. I'm actually surprised some of those guys weren't doing the Technicolor Yawn by the end of the night.
IMO, the best venue on the coast right now. And yeah Marc, the Pirate is frickin' HOT. |
