Thanks to all that made it for our first gig at the Martini Bar this past weekend! Got to meet some more boardies - Cornie was there - as well as some of the regulars - Alex, Revolution, Gypzsol, Topaz Lily, Toph, Spert, Juleegrl, Victoria, Razz - sorry if I forgot to mention anyone - We had a great time! Guy was in top form on Saturday, and we turned a few songs into 20 minute jams. We even threw out a surprise when we launched into the jam portion of Santana's Black Magic Woman while wrapping up What I Got. It was well received, and I think we'll keep that part for good.
What else went on? Those that made it on Friday got to see out #1 admin, Marc a.k.a. OpelGTMan, blurry drunk. Gina Turner graced us with her presence. Buckets was keeping the party alive. Tim Mohon (bassist for Change to Eden) was the smiling face everyone saw when giving up their hard earned cash at the door. Saturday brought out a slightly larger crowd. Spert stole my mic a couple times (fine with me!) Juleegrl and Victoria made sure that the alcohol didn't sit around and get old. Danielle (my wife) and Jackie Massey plowed through some tequila shots, and Tom and Beth Ferguson stopped by for a few.
