this is all being handled by a second party provider, none of it actually goes thru Myspace. The store will be accessible from your profile, but it's not actually going thru Myspace.
Whatever MP3s you upload (you choose the encoding rates and codecs), that's what will buyers will be downloading.
Where you encounter degradation of the files is when you stream songs on Myspace or Purevolume or anywhere like that. If someone is actually downloading it, it will be the same file that you uploaded to your account.
Fortunately the whole thing will be offsite from Myspace, otherwise I wouldn't give it a second thought.
