| Thunders Tavern 30 Year Anniversary Bash Labor Day Weekend
This is something that is rare. A bar lasting for 30 years on the gulf coast. Thunders did it and I think the Upstairs/Downstairs is pretty close behind him.
The party started last night with 69 Mirrors and dR.O.
Here is the agenda for the rest of the week.
Thursday 8/30
The band Rise Down will be playing 10pm-2am. They don't have myspace yet but if you were ever a fan of Split 6, this is the next band to play covers like they did. They have the pretty boy front man with some killer 97.9CPR type covers.
Friday 8/31
The band Strongfold out of Mobile is taking the stage. Its their last show since the singer is moving to Birmingham. Check them out.
Saturday 9/1
CastorTroy is playing. They got their start at the Tavern so they will be putting on one hell of a show for Thunder.
Sunday 9/2
Sunday is the actual anniversary date. The show starts at 2pm with Fried Chicken and Gasoline out on the patio. They will have free burgers, hot dogs, boil shrimp and other things. Later the band Above Zero will be taking the stage. They will have .30 cent specials on Sunday for Bud products and Crown Royal.
