If they are your friends, that's cool, if they are talented, that's cool too. Talent doesn't always make good music.
Their little talent competition is gay, sorry, it just is. | It is American Idol-ish isn't it. |

Rep Power: 19 | | | It is a bit pompous, in my opinion.
If I did something of that nature, I would hope someone would make fun of me.
Glad you liked the pics, I try very hard to entertain, you know, this being the internet and all. If you can't find it on the internet it didn't happen (unfortunately, donkey shows happen). |

Getting popular in Mobile/Gulf Coast, no big deal. Just listen to our ~wonderful~ radio stations and you'll realize that this area does not always have the best taste. Our classic rock stations often fail to get it right.
If you are selling out arenas across America, ok yeah, you can have a bit of an ego then, but I still don't understand it. For the most part musicians are not changing the world. Entertainment is great, some make a decent living out of it, but it is music for god's sake. Musicians are not curing cancer, or ending any wars (even though some contribute to viable organizations). I just don't understand it, but it does exist on all levels. |

Read the end of my sig.
Ha ha ha...
For most musicians, the art of music is an extension of your emotions. When it comes to any aspect of dealing with their "art" most all musicians can get emotional, and egotistical.
Ever kick a band mate out of a band, and he went postal? |

Rep Power: 19 | | | Yeah, I've had to kick one out and it wasn't a pretty scene. Even though it was for his own good, he had a lot of personal stuff to juggle at the time. He didn't see it that way though, and there was no way we could go on with him.
Band drama is the worst shit in the world. I'm glad that all of my past band mates have been able to patch things up, but I have never seen a bunch of guys act so much like girls until I experienced band drama. Not fun stuff. Everyone ends up feeling betrayed. |

Its best to be straight up, and tell em outright, hey its not going to work out, and still they can go nuts.
I have many stories.
I too have gotten mad, well calling out a guitarist for busting up a band.
I said what I wanted to say and was over it.
