so tell me...with all the ups and downs lately, what venues do we have around here now? Also, I am looking to start booking out of state. If anyone has any contacts for me it would be greatly appreciated.

As far as Harr. county goes there isn't much of anything. We're trying to get hooked up over at Skeeter's for next month. If that is worth anything I'll get back with you and set you up with our contact. Other than Slippery Nick's I can't think of anything here. I've heard so many horror stories about that place I haven't even tried there. We've been playing at the Celtic alot and the crowds have been up and down as far as #'s go. But they've been receptive. It's pretty thin though, Tim. We're trying to get out of town ourselves. Forget Hancock county, it's dead as dead for venues.

Thank you...I have shows lined up in Indiana for the summer but looking for more around home within 6 hours or so.

Try WC Don's in Jackson. The manager's name is Terry, his email is www.wcdons@bellsouth.net he was helpful in getting a gig on our way up to NYC. We didn't have a good draw but it was the first week of school when we played.

what I know about Ocean Springs/Jackson County

1. Gov St. Grocery is where a lot of real good bands play.
2. The Julep is a cool little acoustic (mostly) place.
3. The Catastrophe is always a good time for your 3 band gigs.
4. I really like the Celtic.

-Look up as place called The Alamo in Laurel, MS. Ask for "Ruben"...I think.
Good gig. descent $. They don't have much up there, so there is a crowd.
